Process

The Bariatric Surgery Process in Antalya

For patients travelling from other cities or countries, assessment, preparation and follow-up steps are planned together with the physician and the treating healthcare institution. Timing varies by individual.

Initial Consultation

The first meeting takes place in person or online via video call. Medical history, existing conditions, and goals are reviewed; preliminary tests are planned.

Tests and Consultations

Blood tests, upper endoscopy, abdominal ultrasound, chest X-ray, ECG, and — when needed — endocrinology, cardiology, pulmonology, and psychiatry assessments are completed.

Hospital and Surgery

Hospital stay, preparation and travel planning depend on the type of procedure, the protocol of the treating healthcare institution and individual clinical assessment. This information site does not state fixed durations and does not organise accommodation or transport; these are arranged with the treating healthcare institution.

After Discharge

Close contact is maintained in the first week; follow-up visits are scheduled via telemedicine. Controls at 1, 3, 6 and 12 months are recommended, followed by annual reviews.
